No. Not all doctors accept Medicare, but every doctor that accepts Medicare will be in network for Medicare Supplement Plans. The same is not true for Medicare Advantage Plans, you must always verify that your doctors are in network.

 Yes.  Medicare Part B is required regardless of if you are in a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Supplement.

Not necessarily.  There are many $0 premium Medicare Advantage Plans that offer comprehensive benefits.

Every year new plans come out that could offer richer benefits.  Plans that may have worked for you in previous years may not have the richest benefits currently available.

Some insurance companies will allow you to change your agent.  If your current plan does not allow you to change agents, we will still be happy to review your plan and be a resource for you.

 Many Medicare Advantage Plans may include additional benefits such as: dental, vision, OTC, and health club membership. .

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publishes the Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) and Medicare Part D Star Ratings each year to measure the quality of health and drug services received by consumers enrolled in Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs or Part D plans). The Star Ratings system helps Medicare consumers compare the quality of Medicare health and drug plans being offered so they are empowered to make the best health care decisions for them.

Medicare Advantage Plans have a more comprehensive list of covered preventive benefits than original Medicare.

Always make sure that all your doctors are in the plan network and double check that all of your medications are in the plan formularies.

It’s not a good idea.  Medicare A & B only cover 80% of the cost of your medical expenses.  You will be responsible for 20% of the remaining cost.  Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plan will help cover that remaining 20%.

If a person is on Medicare and does not have credible drug coverage for 63 days or more, they will be assessed a lifetime penalty for every month without coverage.  Also, you might be prescribed a drug during the year and a prescription drug plan could help with the overall cost.
